What: Kean Elementary's Fund Run FUNdraiser
Over the next few weeks, students will be asking friends and family to sponsor them for Kean's Fund Run event to be held on Friday, October 11th 2024. At the event, each student will walk or jog the High School track for a 20 minute block. Donations can be made as flat rate one-time amounts at multiple giving levels. As an added incentive, there will be additional prizes that students can earn based on the number of laps they complete, and the amount of funds they raise. This is our kickoff fundraising event for a new playground at Kean and a great way to get the kids moving for 20 minutes of activity and FUN!
Why:
To raise money for a new Kean playground. Kean PTO is now a 501(c)3 non profit so we can starting to applying for grants and also begin our fundraising efforts within our supportive Wooster area business community. But every dollar counts so all profits from student sponsorship donations for the Fund Run will go entirely towards the new playground! We are so appreciative of our awesome Kean Families for thier support with all of our yearly fundraising efforts and hope that we can get that same support for our playground fundrasing event.
How:
Through a partnership with locally-owned Mid Ohio Race Management, donations can be made via this site or contributions by cash or check can be collected using the envelope provided to each student. Money should be collected at the time the donation is promised. All students will participate in 20 minutes of activity on the day of the Fund Run Event, so the amount due will not change based on performance.
Schedule of Events:
9:30-9:50 2nd grade runs while KG & 1st watch
10:05-10:25 KG & 1st run while 2nd watches
10:40-11 4th grade runs while 3rd watches
11:15-11:35 3rd grade runs while 4th watches
Prizes:
Every Wednesday, student donation totals will be collected and tallied. The final day to collect donations is Wednesday, October 16th. Prizes and rewards will be announced Friday October 25th.
Important dates:
Monday September 16th - Start collecting those donations!
Friday, October 11th - Fund Run event on the High School Track at Follis Field (across from Kean)
Wednesday, October 16th Final day to submit donations
Friday, October 25th - Top Fundraisers announced and final prizes delivered
