2024 Medina Turkey Chase 4 Mile & Kid's 1 Mile

Run with us on Thanksgiving Morning!

Join us for Medina's only uptown Thanksgiving Day race and have fun burning calories before you go home and take them all back in!  The Medina Turkey Chase is a collaboration between Mid Ohio Race Management and the Local Race Management teams for the Medina Half Marathon & Medina Twin Sizzler!  We know how much fun it is to race in uptown Medina and are excited to bring this holiday-themed race to you in for year 3 in 2024.

Event Distance:  

4-Mile Race - Medina Thanksgiving Pie Route - MapMyRun

1-Mile Kid's Race - Medina Thanksgiving Pie One Mile - MapMyRun

Start Times:

4 Mile Race - 9:00 am start time

1-Mile Race - 8:30 am start time (Our kids will be finishing while the 4 Milers are waiting to start to make for a fun finish for the kids!)

Cost:

4 Mile - $35 thru 8/31, $40 9/1 thru 11/27, $45 on race day (if spaces remain)

**Each Registration includes electronic chip timing, event shirt, high quality finisher's medal, a chance to earn a FREE pie, FREE race photos, post-race refreshments, and entry into the Brooks Shoe Raffle if you can beat the turkey!  (Don't worry, our turkey isn't so fast - he'll be stuffed)

Kid's 1-Mile - $20 thru 8/31, $25 9/1 thru 11/22, $30 on race day (if spaces remain)

Race Awards:

Nobody wants to wait around for an awards ceremony on Thanksgiving morning.   We want to race and get to the family get together!  To help expedite this portion of the event, each finisher will receive a high quality finishers medal at the finish line and the first 50 men and first 50 women to cross the line will receive FREE pies to take to Thanksgiving dinner with them!  We'll also have special awards for the Top Turkey...the first Male and Female finishers.  There will be no formal awards ceremony so pies will be given out at the finish line. 

Brooks Shoe Raffle:

Yes, you can earn a chance to win a pair of Brooks Shoes!  We will have a turkey running the race with our field of runners, and all runners who finish before the turkey (chip time) will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win 1 of 20 Brooks Shoe vouchers!  Make sure you come ready to race because there's a lot on the line here!

FREE Race Photos:

That's right, high quality race photos will be uploaded into our photo App and made available to our runners for FREE!  Search for your photos, download them, keep forever...it's that easy!

Beneficiary:

Proceeds from the Medina Turkey Chase 4 Mile & Kid's 1 Mile will benefit Medina Shop With a Cop!  Shop with a Cop is a program that allows underprivileged children to receive and purchase gifts during the holiday season while shopping with a police officer.  Children are identified and connected with local departments through schools and various social service agencies.  To date, we've donated nearly $10,000 to this program, so you will be making Thanksgiving memories for yourself and your family by running the race AND helping create memories for lucky local children by supporting Shop with a Cop!
