The Medina County Senior & Adult Services Twin Sizzler Series is excited for 2026, once again planning all your favorite races: 5k, 10k, Fun Run, Kid's Run, and 27 Mile Bike Race, all starting from Medina's historic Public Square.  As always, runners/riders are welcome to participate in one or multiple races as the start times allow runners to pair the 5k & 10k and cyclists to pair the 5k run & bike race.

(Please note that due to all 5k, 10k, and bikers receiving a finishers medal, age group awards will be limited to just the first-place winners.)

Planned bike route (contingent upon race day construction): 

Start on the southwest corner of Medina Square 
Head south on South Court/Route 3 from Medina Square (through the roundabout
continue south)
Turn right on Wedgewood/Route 162 (cross traffic through 4-way stop at 162/Lake
Road)
Turn left on Ballash (cross traffic through a 2-way stop at Chippewa Road). 
Turn right on Kennard (cross traffic through 2-way at Westfield, 2-way at Friendsville,
2-way at Route 42)Turn right on Vandemark (with right-of-way through 2-way at Chippewa, with right-of-way through 2-way at Coon Club, cross 2-way at Chatham, cross 2-way at Spencer Lake)
Turn right on West Smith 
Turn left on Erhart 
Turn right on Branch (cross through 2-way stop at Columbia)
Turn right on West Liberty/Route 18 (4-way light at Route 18/State Road)
Turn right on South Prospect 
Turn left on West Washington (4-way stop at Huntington St)
Finish at West Washington St. before Elmwood St

Shirt Deadline: Register by June 20th to ensure your shirt size is guaranteed.  We ordered 365 extra shirts and will give out each and every one in order of registration date and size availability.

Pre-race packet pickup options:  WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON

Race Day:  6:30 AM at the tent across from Second Sole and the public restrooms.  

   Please note if you are running the 5K & 10K---your bib will be in the 10K line.

5k/10k/1 mile notes:  Running race starting/finish lines are on the Broadway Street side of Public Square. Race is timed with individual chips.  5k begins at 7:45 am.  1 Mile Fun Run at 8:30 am.  10k at 9:00 am.  

Bike race notes:  All groups start on West Washington Street on the west side of Public Square within waves starting at 8:15 am. The finish line is on West Washington St. All riders must finish the bike race by 11:00 am.  Bike race awards will be given in the Expert class (for those who start in the Expert wave) and in each age group in the Citizen class. (There will be no Citizen overall awards.)  You MUST start with the appropriate wave of riders to qualify for an age group award. Riders starting with the Expert class are only eligible for awards in the Expert class and will not be considered for the age groups.

The best parking is in the parking garage behind the Medina County Courthouse on the east side of the square or the parking garage on North Huntington, northwest of the square.  You can also utilize the County Administration Lot.
