Event Details

Cinnamon Lake Oktoberfest 5 ¼ Mile Run, 1 Mile Run/Walk, and Youth Fun Run 2024 is a MORM Timed event.
Please contact the event organizer for questions unrelated to race timing.

 

Event Details: The goal is to encourage good health and habits such as running, social engagement, and being outdoors, while enjoying our beautiful lake community.  This race provides an opportunity to engage in these healthy habits while participating in a competitive race.

We encourage you to Wear your OktoberFest apparel!

This event is held to promote our beautiful community, give athletes a chance to showcase their talents, as well as a fundraiser. Proceeds are used to improve the ecosystem of Cinnamon Lake, the 3rd largest population center in Ashland County.

Mid Ohio Race Management will provide chip timing for the 5 ¼ mile race.

Please note the following for 2024 participants: 

  • There WILL be same-day registration - this does NOT include a t-shirt.
  • Registration/packet pickup opens at 8:30am
  • Fun run participants: begins at 9:45am
  • 5 ¼ mile race begins at 10:00am
  • 1 mile run/walk begins at 10:15am

 

Pricing and Registration for 2024:

  • $40 - 5 ¼  mile race includes: a shirt, an Oktoberfest themed meal, a beverage ticket  and a chance to win awards
  • $25 - 1 mile run/walk includes: a shirt, an Oktoberfest themed meal, a beverage ticket  
  • $10 - FUN Run for kids: Awards for all, hot dog/chips/drink
  • $10 - Extra Oktoberfest themed meal

 

Registration for 5¼ mile race and 1 mile run/walk received through September 15th will guarantee you a shirt.

 

Same Day Registration - October 6th:

  • $45 - 5 ¼  mile race includes: an Oktoberfest themed meal, a beverage ticket  and a chance to win awards
  • $30 - 1 mile run/walk includes: an Oktoberfest themed meal, a beverage ticket  
  • $10 - FUN Run for kids: Awards for all, hot dog/fries/drink
  • $10 - Extra Oktoberfest themed meal

 

The Awards Ceremony will be held after the race.

Awards

  • For the 5 ¼ mile run
    • Awards for top Male / Female finishers 
    • First & Second Male / Female finishers in each of the following age brackets will receive awards
      • 10-19
      • 20-29
      • 30-39
      • 40-49
      • 50-59
      • 60 & up   
  • All participants in the Kids fun run will receive an award.

 

About the Course:  All courses will be within scenic Cinnamon Lake community!

Please Note the Following:

  • While traffic will be very low during this race, the roads will not be closed.  We intend to have volunteers at select intersections and turns to help guide you and stop traffic if necessary.  But, it is up to the participants to be aware of cars and buggys and take the necessary precautions to keep themselves and others safe.
    • As a general guideline:  runners should be on the left side of the road running against traffic.
  • While we are happy that you'll be joining us after the race to enjoy our beach area and lake, you will not be allowed to bring in your own boats, including kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc.
