Come join us for this inaugural event!

The First Annual Cinnamon Lake Spiced Run Bike Run will include a 1-mile run, 15-mile cycling portion, and end with a 2-mile run in our amazing lakeside community. The race will offer you beautiful scenery inside our gates and then even more as you exit for the cycling portion and ride through our local Amish countryside.

Tackle the entire event by yourself, or bring a friend and split the effort up between the two of you!

Your registration not only includes this fun morning of racing, but it also gets you some great swag and awards, and a meal after the event provided by the Cinnamon Lake Fish and Lake Committee.  Bring family and friends with you and purchase additional meals for them with your registration.

Our logo and mascot is shown in the picture above.  You’ll also find our mascot at various places along the course, keep your eyes peeled for him!

After the race, feel free to stay for awhile and enjoy our beach and playground area.  New addition to the post-race happenings!  The Cinnamon Lake Events Committee is hosting a Browns watch party in the lodge!  This is open to all racers and family/friends that come with them.  It's also open to all residents of Cinnamon Lake, so we hope to have a great group.  Bring whatever food and drink you want to enjoy during the game.

Course Details: Participants will start at the lodge with a 1.4-mile run through Cinnamon Lake on mostly paved roads (there is a short gravel section) and back to the lodge where you will run into the transition zone (T1) where you will pick up your bike and head around Cinnamon Lake and out the back gate, onto the country roads for a 15-mile, flat but fast cycling course. You’ll return back through the same back gate, around the lake, and again to the lodge and into the transition zone (T2), drop off your bike and head out for the final segment, a 2.25 mile run through more of Cinnamon Lake’s paved roads.

Location: You must enter Cinnamon Lake through the front gate.  Use address 366 County Road 620, West Salem, Ohio.  Once you are in the gate follow the signs to the Lodge.

Race Timing: Mid Ohio Race Management utilizes MyLaps technology to ensure the most accurate results for this Duathlon. You will cross a timing mat at the start and finish as well as any time you enter or exit the transition area. This means you will get separate splits for each of your segments PLUS transition times.

Awards: There will be swag for every participant as well as awards given to the Top 2 male and female individuals. Top 2 All Male and All female teams and top 2 Co-ed teams.

Packet Pickup: Race-day packet pickup begins at 8:00.

Please Note the Following:

• While traffic will be very low during this race, the roads will not be closed.  We intend to have volunteers at select intersections and turns to help guide you and stop traffic if necessary.  But, it is up to the participants to be aware of cars and buggys and take the necessary precautions to keep themselves and others safe.
  • As a general guideline:  runners should be on the left side of the road running against traffic, and bikers should ride on the right side of the road traveling with traffic.
• While we are happy that you'll be joining us after the race to enjoy our beach area and lake, you will not be allowed to bring in your own boat, including kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc.  However, we will hopefully have a limited number of boats for you to borrow.
