“Steps Towards Home” Walk & Run
Fun Walk at 8:30 a.m. (1 Mile)
10K Race at 9:00 a.m.
5K Run/Walk at 9:05 a.m.
Can you feel it? The cool Autumn air and the crunch of fall leaves under your feet is just the start of an amazing opportunity to get out and support Rails Trails & Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County. The great thing about this event is that it is a beautiful way to spend your morning as you pass Lavender Fields and scenic towpaths all while enjoying paved trails. Both organizations have big plans for 2027 and your participation will help make dreams become a reality. Rails to Trails will pave the next 1.1 miles of trail bed from Marshallville to Coal Bank Road later this year, and will begin work on the next section to Black Diamond Road in 2027. Habitat for Humanity has 4 homes scheduled in 2027.
Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, this event is a great way to support two organizations working to strengthen our community—building homes and creating accessible outdoor spaces for all.
