Uncle Doug's 6-Hour Challenge

Event Info:

The concept is simple, how many 2.5 mile trail loops can you complete in 6 hours?  At 8:00am Uncle Doug will blow the starter's whistle and you will be set loose to start accumulating miles.  At 2:00pm, Uncle Doug will blow the whistle once again signifying that the 6 Hours have ended.  NO LAPS will be able to be started after 1:45pm but if you start your final loop prior to 1:45pm, the full loop will be counted towards your total.

Face coverings will be required before and after the event and social distancing measures will be expected.  All activities will take place outdoors and there will be a space near the start/finish line for you to set up a camp with all food/drink that you will need to fuel for the 6 hours.  A camp fire will be supplied to provide a warm place to hide and at some point Uncle Doug's Famous Chili will be available for all to enjoy!  Does it get any better than that?

Uncle Doug's Training Complex features a 2.5 mile loop on private and exclusive trails in the heart of Wayne County!  Expect plenty of ups and downs, plenty of challenges, and a ton of fun!

Awards:

Your major award will be 6 hours of running/walking/hiking with friends...BUT we will also have some award categories for Longest Mileage, Shortest Mileage, Fastest Loop, Slowest Loop, and whatever else Uncle Doug thinks of by race day.  Stay tuned!

Cost:

There are a few ways to register for Uncle Doug's 6-Hour Challenge

1)  You can pay $1000.00.  All proceeds will go to Camp Nuhop!  What a deal!

2)  Uncle Doug is a critical member of the Wooster Running Club, so if you simply attend a Wednesday Night (Downtown Wooster), Thursday Night (Wooster Memorial Park), or Saturday Morning (from Vertical Runner) group run, you can receive a registration code to make the total $1.  It's a friend raising event, so come run with The Wooster Running Club and get your FREE Entry.

3)  Make a donation to Camp Nuhop!  If you absolutely cannot make it to a group run but want to be part of this event, you can make a minimum $10 donation to Camp Nuhop at Checkout.  Just send an email to Uncle Doug (dhradek@sssnet.com) and let him know you plan to donate and he'll send you the FREE Entry code so you can get signed up!
