8th Annual Paws for the Cause 5k Run and 1-mile walk

Race day is 10/23/2021

I have been offered the opportunity to participate in a program of the Medina County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals SPCA known as the Paws for the Cause Race scheduled for Saturday October 23 2021. This event will involve a large number of people and their pets. I may be present with one or more of my pets andor my children. I represent that any animal brought to the race is fully vaccinated for rabies and other communicable diseases and does not have history of aggressive conduct with people or other animals. I agree to keep my animals on a leash or otherwise fully physically restrained and under control at all times.I agree not participate or to allow my children or pets to participate unless we are all in good health medically able to perform this event and are properly trained. I agree to abide by any instruction or decision of a race officialSPCA representative regarding any aspect of my participation in this event. Without limitation the SPCA reserves the right to direct the speed direction and conduct of any participant including but not limited to removing any person or animal from the event altogether. I understand that bicycles skateboards roller skates or blades of any type are not allowed in the race and I will abide by this guideline. I understand that this is a fundraising event for the SPCA and that there will be no refund of any donation or fee for weather or any other reason.I understand that the SPCA cannot guarantee the health or behavior of the other animals participating in this event or the behavior of the other participants. I also understand the health and safety risks inherent in outdoor activities the possibility of inclement weather and the hazards at or near public roads. Therefore in consideration for being provided the opportunity to participate I agree that I will hold harmless and indemnify the SPCA its directors agents volunteers and employees from any and all losses claims actions or proceedings of every kind and character including claims for negligence and for damages of any kind including animal bites damage to property personal injury or death for myself or my children which may arise directly or indirectly from my presence on the above property or my participation in SPCA activities. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. This Agreement may not be amended or modified without a writing signed by both parties.
